Drug : MACRODANTIN
Description
ADVERSE REACTIONS:
Stop taking this medicine and get emergency help IMMEDIATELY if you experience:
Shortness of breath, fast or irregular breathing, fever, joint pain, fast pulse, lightheadedness or fainting, swelling of face,
hives, & itching.
Stop taking this medicine and notify your doctor AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience:
Swelling usually of face or lips; Yellowing of eyes or skin; Numbness or tingling in hands and feet; Severe skin reactions.
BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE:
Tell your doctor if you are having any of the following conditions:
KIDNEY DISEASE; LIVER PROBLEMS.
HOW THIS MEDICINE SHOULD BE STORED?
Keep in original closed container in a dark, cool, and dry place away from children. Discard unneeded medicine.
Other Common Side Effects:
Nausea; Headache; Gas; Dizziness; Indigestion; Drowsiness; Diarrhea; Stomach discomfort or pain; Vomiting; Decreased appetite;
Muscle pain.
If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome, check with your doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE,
CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.

WHY IS IT PRESCRIBED?
For the treatment of urinary tract infections.
HOW MEDICINE IS ADMINISTERED?
Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label, unless instructed differently by your doctor
* Take with food or milk to minimize stomach upset.
* Oral suspension may be mixed with water, milk, fruit juice, and formulas.
* Swallow CAPSULES whole, DO NOT chew or break.
* To help clear up your infection completely, FINISH COURSE OF THERAPY, even if your condition has improved.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU MISS A DOSE?
Take when remembered unless time for next dose. No double doses.
WARNINGS/PRECAUTIONS:
* STOP TAKING MEDICINE & GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF A HYPERSENSITIVITY OR ANAPHYLACTIC REACTION occurs: (see symptoms
below):-
* PEDIATRIC: Dosage alert for children LESS than 1 month of age
* shortness of breath, fast or irregular breathing, fever, joint pain, fast pulse, lightheadedness or fainting, swelling of
face, hives, & itching.
* There are no adequate or well-controlled safety studies in pregnant women. NOTIFY YOUR DOCTOR IF PREGNANT or intend to
become pregnant.
* The results of some MEDICAL or LAB tests may be affected by this medicine. Inform the doctor in charge that you are taking
this medicine.
* This medication may cause a brown discoloration of the urine.
* Notify your doctor if condition worsens or shows no improvement.
